As part of the Marian Project, we spoke with Sarah Kennedy-Berge, Pedagogical Leader at Waterpark Montessori International, to explore how education can prepare the next generation to meet the challenges facing our oceans.
According to Kennedy-Berge, “Children have an innate ability to connect with nature, and it is our responsibility to nurture that curiosity with knowledge and values.” Drawing on her experience, she integrates Montessori methods with STEM learning and marine-focused activities, fostering environmental awareness from an early age.
